Planning a large-scale event can seem overwhelming. Here’s our top four tips to help you plan your next event:

1. Define objectives and goals

Your exhibition should support your main goals; from lead generation to brand recognition or product launches. To ensure your goals are met, define what success would look like. This could include:

·        Orders taken

·        Number of new leads generated

·        Meetings pre-booked with potential clients

Once you have defined your main goals, and how these appear as measurable successes, you can begin planning your event.

2. Establish a budget

Before you plan your event, establish an overall budget; you can then segment this into the following:

  • Venue Hire

  • Staffing

  • Pre-show marketing

  • Catering

  • Travel expenses for you and your team

  • Audio-Visual Equipment hire

3. Stand requirements

When planning a larger event, like a trade show, you should always consider what your requirements for the stands are. Consider:

  • Products: If your products are large, you will need extra space to accommodate their display.

  • Talks and demos: If you’re hosting any talks, Q&A’s or demonstrations, you will need to section off an area of your showroom for this. Don’t forget to leave space for a stage and seating area.

  • Breakout spaces: Do you need dedicated areas, breakout spaces, for delegates? These spaces can be for networking, presentations, or a designated room for one-to-one meetings.

  • Hospitality: If your event duration is a whole day, or multi-day show, consider how on-site catering can help elevate your event and boost success. Not only does this improve convenience for delegates, it also helps keep visitors engaged in afternoon sessions.

4. Venue

Finally, after taking the above into consideration, choose the venue that best suits your needs.

  • Spaces: Here at Cranmore Park, we have three large multi-functional event spaces, 8 meeting rooms and several catering and breakout spaces to suit all events.

  • Equipment: Also consider what equipment you need from a venue. Cranmore Park also provides good quality audio-visual equipment, to ensure all presentations and guest talks are top quality.
